Missouri Cures Education Foundation invites you to discover the remarkable work of renowned scientist Dr. Jeanne Loring, who is advancing human stem cell research by harnessing the remarkable power of Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPSCs). With extraordinary abilities to self- renew and develop into every cell type in the body, Dr. Loring’s iPSCs research is fueling powerful,
cutting-edge investigations of new therapies for Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis and the underlying cause of autism. In addition, through her work with The Stem Cell Zoo, she is applying her iPSCs research to explore ways to potentially repopulate endangered species such as the Northern White Rhino.

KickstartED a Connected Learning Event

KickstartED is based on the amazingly successful StlSloup movement. KickstartED is a first of it’s kind dinner that crowdfunds projects focused on innovations in education throughout the Midwest region. KickstartED brings people together at a different venue, over a different dinner and a slate of community-based projects proposed by educators. For a donation of $10-20, you get heavy appetizers and a ballot to vote on the proposals. Vote for your favorite ideas, and the one with the most votes gets the money raised at the door!
