Tinder will now allow you to share date plans with friends and family. Here’s how the ‘Share My Date’ feature will work

Tinder introduced a new feature called ‘Share My Date’ on Monday, allowing users to share their date plans with friends and family directly through the app. This feature not only helps users share the excitement of a new match but also provides an additional safety measure, as loved ones can be informed of the plans.

Tinder reports that 51% of users under 30 already share their date details with friends, and 18% share them specifically with their mothers. According to Tinder’s Chief Marketing Officer, Melissa Hobley, “We continue to roll out new features to create a fun, safe, and respectful experience for all users.”

She added, “Discussing plans with friends and family is a dating tradition. Share My Date makes it easier for singles to share the basics and get straight to the exciting part—whether it’s deciding what to wear or preparing conversation starters.”

How does Tinder’s ‘Share My Date’ feature work?
The ‘Share My Date’ feature enables users to send their date plans to friends or family with a single link, providing details like the match’s location, date, time, and a photo. Recipients can view this information via their web browser—no Tinder app required.

Users can share date plans up to 30 days in advance and are able to make edits if needed. Additionally, Tinder users can create and share multiple date plans within the app.

The ‘Share My Date’ feature will be available in several countries, including India, the US, the UK, Australia, Canada, Singapore, and many others, in the coming months.
